Each litre of Seachem Matrix delivers the equivalent surface area of 170 litres of traditional plastic bio media, allowing efficient removal of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate simultaneously. Unlike standard biological media, the deep internal pores allow beneficial bacteria to thrive safely inside, making Matrix highly effective even when rinsed.
