The barbed fitting is designed as a slip fitting into the Vectra pump's output, requiring PVC solvent for a secure connection. We recommend applying a small amount of plumbing solvent to ensure the fitting seats securely, especially for Vectra M1 pumps, where the blue collet may be tight. The screen fitting, on the other hand, does not require any solvent and easily connects to the pump inlet.
