Seachem matrix 500ml

Seachem Matrix removes nitrate, ammonia and nitrite, simultaneously and is compatible with all types of wet and dry filters. Matrix bio-filtration uses tiny balls about 10mm in diameter to act as a filter medium. The porous inorganic solids have a great surface area - as much as 170 litres of plastic balls. Whereas plastic filter balls only offer the external surface area, Matrix have both the external and internal macroporous surface area. The macropores in the filter medium are ideally sized for the support of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria.

Matrix is inert and won't break down, so it doesn't need to be replaced - it can just be rinsed as required. Remember to rinse in old aquarium water to preserve the bacteria. Matrix may be placed in any kind of filter, and is particularly effective in a canister filter. Matrix is quite large, so a filter bag shouldn't be required for most applications

Dosage:
