Brightwell Aquatics Xport Bio Brick is an ultra-high porosity biological filtration medium engineered for marine and hard freshwater aquariums with a pH of 7.5 or higher. Designed to provide exceptional aerobic and anaerobic bacterial colonization, it delivers powerful biological filtration in a compact, efficient format.
Laboratory tested to offer over 71,000 square feet of usable surface area per liter, a single Bio Brick provides approximately 100,000 square feet of bacterial habitat. This immense surface area supports the rapid conversion of toxic ammonia and nitrite to near-zero levels while also assisting in reducing phosphate and dissolved organic waste.
Doped with aragonite, Xport Bio Brick buffers pH directly at the bacterial level, preventing acid buildup that can compromise bacterial performance. It can be used as the sole biological filtration medium or alongside existing filtration systems, making it suitable for aquariums, reef systems, and ponds.
